  • Backing the Blue

    Backing the Blue

I will never waver in my support of Virginia’s law enforcement officers. I know firsthand the immense sacrifices the men in and women in blue make every day to keep their communities safe. In the Virginia Senate, I will be unequivocally pro-law enforcement and push back against the dangerous ‘defund the police’ movement that makes everyone less safe. People across the commonwealth are dealing with the consequences of politicians in Richmond who don’t respect and support law enforcement — to reverse course, get criminals off the street and make Virginia safer for our children, I’m ready to retake the Senate and back the blue. Backing the blue also means that I stand behind law-abiding citizens. Because Virginians deserve to feel safe, and I will repeal soft on crime legislation that has put Virginia families in danger

  • Championing Economic Growth

    Championing Economic Growth

My family, friends and neighbors have to live within our means and follow a budget to get ahead — our government must do the same. After leading the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office for more than two decades, I understand the importance of fiscal responsibility and efficiency. Taxpayers work day-in and day-out for their families and our leaders in Richmond should carefully consider every penny spent. Those tax dollars come from the hardworking people of Virginia. Whenever we can, we should trim waste and cut taxes to put more money back in the pockets of Virginians.

I will support cutting the gas tax, repealing the grocery tax, following Governor Youngkin’s lead to cut taxes on Virginians and work to get rising costs under control for Virginia families.

  • Transportation

    Transportation

In Richmond, I will support common sense transportation solutions that prioritize our infrastructure needs while keeping costs low for consumers. We must work to cut commute times and ease traffic on the Peninsula. I will support a comprehensive study to enhance our infrastructure and move forward with solutions that get people where they are going quicker.

  • Listening to Parents

    Listening to Parents

As a father of two and grandfather of five, I believe all parents have the right to have a voice in their child’s education. Education is the key to our commonwealth’s future and the future of kids everywhere. That education should be led by local communities who listen parents who truly have children’s’ best interests at heart. We must fund and support our teachers and school systems while listening to the families they serve — I will work with Governor Youngkin and my colleagues to protect parents’ rights and build the best school system possible.

  • Promoting Better Care

    Promoting Better Care

More than ten years after the federal government promised to make our health care affordable, too many Virginians still struggle to pay their bill at the doctor’s office and the pharmacy. We need commonsense, conservative reforms to cut health care costs, not one-size-fits-all solutions from Washington that grow the government and hold health care innovation back. The best way to cut prices is to increase competition. Our leaders in Richmond should expand health care choices and promote competition wherever possible to give Virginians the opportunity to find the best, most affordable options for them.

  • Protecting Our Landscape

    Protecting Our Landscape

Not only are our region’s rivers and waterways extremely important to our economy and job creation, but their preservation is also matter of public safety. I’m committed to doing everything I can to protect our people and institutions from flooding and the impacts of natural disasters on the Virginia coast and in the Bay. When those impacts are felt, we need improved ratings from the National Flood Insurance Program’s Community Rating System to give Virginians the relief they deserve. The Norfolk Naval Base and Joint Base Langley-Eustis are vital parts of our economy and communities. I will fight for their protection and the rights of the people of Hampton Roads to set the policy that impacts our families.

  • Life

I am pro-life and believe we must do better in cultivating a culture of life in Virginia. I will work to expand access to adoption and provide mothers the resources they need to support their children. I also support Governor Youngkin’s common sense proposal to allow abortion up to 15 weeks while leaving in exceptions for rape, incest and to save the life of the mother.

  • Second Amendment

I have proudly defended the Constitution, especially the Second Amendment. I oppose efforts to criminalize law abiding gun owners. In the General Assembly I will work to stiffen penalties for those who use guns to commit crime while supporting our constitutional right to bear arms.
